Fuelling My Family

I’m a 57 year-old male trying to stay fit by eating right and staying active and use Hol Food to achieve that aim. My son-in-law is a busy high school teacher who doesn’t get chance to eat lunch and uses Hol Food to power him through the afternoon. My son is in construction working on the Gordie Howe Bridge, and has started using Hol Food as he needs to get all the nutrition his body requires in a very physical job. So just in my family Hol Food is fighting aging, helping to educate children and building bridges!

Time Saver

I use hol food on a daily basis every weekday when I have to drop my daughter off at daycare. It’s a real lifesaver to have a tasty healthy meal that’s easy to manage when you can mix up the night before when she’s asleep. Highly recommended for any new parent who has their hands full!

Best Breakfast

I used to skip breakfast or eat unhealthy cereals, Hol food has allowed me to eat a nutrition packed meal that also helps me reach my protein goals. Unlike others I've tried, the taste is phenomenal!

P.S. from Vancouver, BC

Helped me reach my goals

I’ve lost 20 lbs, feel better than ever, and it’s encouraged me to get outside and camp, golf and ride motorcycles. Not to mention safer during the pandemic.

Have more questions?

  • What is Hol Food?

Hol Food is an all-in-one nutritional shake that contains all the nutrients, vitamins, and minerals required by your body. Giving you 100% of your daily nutritional requirements, it can be used to replace any or all of your meals throughout the day.

  • How should I use Hol Food?

Hol Food can be used to replace all of your meals, but many people also use it as a healthy and convenient alternative to just one or a couple of meals per day.

  • How many calories are in one Hol Food meal?

One meal or serving of Hol Food contains 400 calories. One scoop of Hol Food contains 200 calories, thus two scoops will provide one meal. However, you can adjust your calories per meal easily by reducing or increasing the amount of Hol Food you mix.

  • How do I prepare Hol Food?

Measure 2 scoops of Hol Food with 1.5 cups (350 ml) of ice-cold water or milk. In a blender or shaker cup mix contents together until desired texture is achieved, then enjoy!

You can also try creating new variations by mixing Hol Food with milk, peanut butter, bananas, kale, pomegranate, avocado, goji berries, or anything else you can think of. The possibilities are limitless!

  • Why should I use Hol food?

We could tell you about how much time and money you'll be saving by starting Hol Food (a lot), but the reason we recommend it to just about everyone is because of how great it makes you feel!

There's something really amazing that happens when your body gets all the nutrients it requires - you feel happier, more energetic, and more optimistic - with none of the eventual sluggishness that comes from fast food or energy drinks. With Hol Food, your body knows that you're treating it well and rewards your brain for it.

Yes. Upon order completion, you will receive a tracking number within 1-5 business days.

  • What's with the name?

The "Hol" in Hol Food is short for Holism, a philosophical theory that boils down to the idea that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. In other words, the parts of a whole interact in a synergistic way to create a positive result that is greater than if each part had interacted separately.

So what does this have to do with Hol Food? When our co-founder James was working on the thesis project that would later become the basis for Hol Food, he discovered a body of research demonstrating that concomitant broad spectrum macro- and micro-nutrient ingestion had improved efficacy over supplementation with the same macro- and micro-nutrients separately. Thus, not only did maintenance of the physiological state of the body within advantageous homeostatic boundaries require a sufficient source of nutrients, but the supplementation of said nutrients together allowed them to operate synergistically upon the body's cellular machinery and in turn, improved the overall effects of the nutritional input...

...which is just a fancy way of saying that nutrients work a lot better when you take them all together, as Hol Food allows you to do, hence the name.
